In a submission tape / DVD the panel of assessors will be looking for:
A noise free start to the programme.
Videographer's logo or at least a business name.
Title sequence.
Programme content and flow.
End credits if applicable.
Clean fade to black / white. |
The programme content must show the videographers ability to audio-dub sound, be in control of both lighting and sound while filming, be able to use the zoom effectively, and produce steady footage whilst conforming to the rules of filmic composition. The programme must also show the applicants ability to produce clean edits and an understanding of the use of various scene transition types. |
A reasonable degree of artistic editing ability must be in evidence. Image quality on the submission tape must have a reasonable standard of clarity and the sound should be clear, well modulated, and free from spurious background noise. If the above seems daunting, please remember that we only looking for the ability to produce a reasonable professional videotape or DVD. |
| The standard that we are looking for is not dependant on the use of professional three chip camera's or broadcast edit suites, although we do have many members at this level. |
The main requirement that we are looking for is the ability to please the client in the market place in which you are working. Please include a list of the equipment used to produce your assessment tape. |
